September 30, 2011: (!) Tell Ukraine to Stop Burning Animals Alive PDF Print E-mail

Target: Ukraine President, Viktor Yanukovych

Sponsored by: Animal Advocates

The city Lysychansk (eastern Ukraine) is shooting and burning animals alive as part of Football Preparations for Eurofoot 2012.

Ukrainian Authorities are now using a mobile crematorium to exterminate stray animals. The local government bought a mobile crematorium for the disposal of stray animals. The mobile team of drivers and dog catchers are armed with a gun to shoot strays. The mobile crematorium also lends it to other cities and districts of the region.

The captured animals are thrown alive into the oven to 900 degrees C. According to locals, the dogs and cats burned alive.

The concentration of stray animals is not critical and can easily be controlled. The problem of stray animals to be solved by sterilization. We are horrified to learn the problem of stray animals in the Luhansk region in the town Lysychansk in Eastern Ukraine will be "solved" in this  way and ignoring the Law on Cruelty to Animals.

September 27, 2011: Dear Visitors and Friends, PDF Print E-mail

As you may know or have learned, the grueling “People vs Conrad Murray” trial starts today. The Silenced Truth will not be covering this very nerve-wrecking period, but our thoughts and prayers are with those of you who will choose to follow it (although we are not encouraging you to), wishing much strength, peace of mind and unity among yourselves in expecting some sense of justice for the outcome of this trying phase. Irrespective of the finality of it, please know and remember that, despite all the lies and butchering of characters (Michael Jackson’s, namely) we are long accustomed with and which will be a regular in the court these weeks, they are/will be simply low maneuvers carried out by the defense to obtain a definitive acquittal for their client, Dr. Conrad Murray. We are not wishing ill to Mr. Murray, nor to any of those he collaborated with to create whatever occurred on June 25, 2011. We are simply expecting some divine intervention – if the man-made system will not prove effective, as is oftentimes the case - for this is the one judgement that can not be eluded by anyone, be they the slyest and slickest of all. 4 years of penitence (with 2 only and most likely to be served) if they are ruled, in the end will not compensate for the death, or rather, the killing of one of the most wonderful, loved human beings and lovers of life in the world -- this being an objective, non-distorted truth. Albeit, it would, of course, still prove to be a crumb of righteousness for his three surviving children, family and friends. ..

Our sincere well-wishes to all of you as always. .. We are leaving you now with a couple of recent interviews conducted with once attorney of Michael Jackson (for his 2005 child abuse trial), Mr. Thomas Mesereau. Mr. Mesereau is a person of untroubled integrity and spirit, who continues to respectfully advocate for his former client and friend and educate the masses on law and ethics coda whenever need be. …

September 20, 2011: Stop The Killing In Syria PDF Print E-mail

Military tanks are rolling into towns and cities all over Syria. Soldiers torture, rape and kill protesters calling for democratic reforms in this police state. They fire indiscriminately into crowds. More than 3,000 people have already died in these massacres.

Since the violence began, Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has offered some of the strongest condemnations of the atrocities by the Syrian government. Now, as he tours Arab Spring countries, Turkish citizens like Esra Islamoglu are demanding he turn words into action.

Esra, a Change.org member in southern Turkey, just started a petition asking the Turkish government to impose economic sanctions on the Syrian government in order to end the killings. (You don’t need to be Turkish to sign it -- PM Erdoğan has been trying to make Turkey a much larger player on the world stage, and global opinion will have significant influence on him.)

Join Esra in calling for an end to the crackdown on pro-democracy protests in Syria by signing her petition now.

Esra lives in southern Turkey, close to the border with Syria. On the other side of that border, tanks have just entered 10 villages as part of a major military thrust to put down protests.

A civil war in Syria would be devastating to the region -- it’s something Esra fears, and something the Turkish Prime Minister himself predicts will happen if Syria doesn't end the violence.

[…] With the death total in Syria rising by the day, it’s critical to speak out and urge Turkey to sanction Syria now.

Please, sign Esra's petition to Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan to stop the killing by imposing comprehensive sanctions on Syria:

Thanks for being a change-maker,

September 26, 2011: I'll Try, You'll Try... Maybe We’ll All Get By. PDF Print E-mail

"We close our eyes and refuse to see
Life's every day corruption;
Even the doctors can not hide
The pain from war's distruction.
So I welcome sleep at the end of day
With a prayer that there'll be no war,
But each morning I wake only to find
Things worse then the day before.

The world is full of problems,
What can we do to solve them?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by;
I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by.

I remember when grass used to be a thing
To water and cut with dad,
But now I find as a former slave,
People say it can hurt you bad.
Ooh, we're so blind to these changing times,
Love is a thing of the past,
Save the children from these people,
One more shot could be their last!

There surely is a problem,

What can we do to solve them?

I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by;
I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by

Oh, crowds of people running through the streets
With signs showing discontent,
Oooh, stop the war!
Lower taxes!
Cut down unemployment, yeah, yeah!
But to the people of our nation
We sing our humble cry -
It's time to get our minds together,
Love this world, don't let it die!

Can't you see these problems?
It's up to us to solve them.

Oh, yeah!

I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by,
I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by.

I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by.
I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by.

I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by.
I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by.

I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by.
I'll try,
Don't you wanna try too?
I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by.

To the people of our nation -
Help this generation!
I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by,
Save the people!
Ooh, save the children!

I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by.
Save the people!
Ooh, save the children!
I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by;
Help us!
Come on, people!
Now, help us!
I'll try, you'll try,
Maybe we'll all get by…"

September 19, 2011: Michael Jackson The Humanitarian – A Spoken Word Tribute PDF Print E-mail

~ We could not omit mentioning/promoting such a welcome legacy project here. The Silenced Truth, however, is not affiliated with this endeavor. ~

http://mjthehumanitarianprogram.weebly.com/

Michael Jackson was famous for his incredible music, live performances and short films.  His extraordinary talents made him the greatest entertainer of all time! There was another side of Michael, few people knew about. It was his dedication in helping people all over the world. A lot of it was to help sick, needy and orphaned children. He donated hundreds of millions of dollars to many charities and so much more. Michael Jackson was a true humanitarian.

Michael Jackson The Humanitarian, A Tribute is an entertaining 90 minute spoken word program that takes an inside look at Michael Jackson's humanitarian side. It includes many inspiring stories of his tremendous acts of kindness and generosity in helping people across the world. You will hear how Michael saved a child's life who needed a liver transplant, what he did after a mass shooting at an elementary school, how he gave hope and encouragement to so many, his very special gifts to terminally ill children and a whole lot more. These stories will touch your heart with joy, hope, laughter and tears. It also takes a fascinating look at how Michael tried to give meaningful messages through his music and what Neverland was truly all about.

This is the ultimate Michael Jackson tribute. Janice Frogel presents a powerful program that truly honors Michael for all he did to help make the world a better place. In 1984, Janice had a brief experience with Michael. It gave her a different perspective of him that few people have. She shares her experience during the program. Hundreds of hours of work went into creating this (…) tribute that takes a captivating look at the real Michael Jackson; one of the greatest humanitarians of all time. It will amaze, enlighten and inspire you!

Part of the proceeds from every program will be donated to charity.

This program is uniquely entertaining and is great for special events and groups of all kinds. […] Michael Jackson The Humanitarian Program is not associated with the Michael Jackson Estate.
