Throughout his career, Michael Jackson accorded several interviews to publications, radio and television channels, although the entertainer was known for his media timidity and preference for privacy, also exposing his (justified) fears of being misquoted by the various press sources, and misinterpreted by the general public.

Below, there are excerpts from such interviews, tackling topics about world issues as poverty, racism, prejudice, religion, education through music and book reading, children protection and parental responsibilities, animal abuse, substance consumption, charity towards all people, nature’s creations and the like. “ ‘Lundon’s Bridge (and the Three Keys)’ is about trying to stop pollution, and I know my dad always wanted to heal the world and I think it would be great to follow in his footsteps and try to just help the world. […] Actually, 50 percent of the profits of the movie and the book, they go back to schools. Because I know that there are schools that aren’t as fortunate as my school and even my school is struggling with a few sport’s things, like, we can’t afford a high school football team. And I know a lot of schools, they can’t afford, like, performing arts, they can’t do sports and that’s, like, the fun part of school. I mean, academics is just boring. [jokes]”

“(The most memorable thing Dad said to me..), he said, “If I die tomorrow, always remember what I told you.” And I took his advice and I remembered everything he told me.”
