What happened to Heal The World Foundation? PDF Print E-mail

"Heal the World" was a charitable organisation. It was founded in 1992. The foundation's creation was inspired by Jackson's charitable single bearing an omonimous name. Failure to file yearly accounting statements saw the charity disband in 2002, but it was rumored to have been relaunched, under new management, in 2008. The rumor has been confirmed as true, yet the reestablished Heal the World is currently being contested by means of a lawsuit filed in October, 2009 by  Michael Jackson's Estate, that questions its validity.

"The current Heal the World Foundation has no relation to Michael Jackson's charity that touched so many lives before becoming inactive several years before Michael's death... The estate does not believe Michael's children should be used to exploit a foundation that a federal judge found was not associated with Michael Jackson", the Estate of Michael Jackson declared in a statement.
